For this week’s Illustration Friday topic, “Surprise”, I knew I didn’t want to show the exact moment when someone was taken aback. Rather, I wanted to illustrate either the anticipation of a surprise or maybe the result of a surprise.
Since this is a time of year when many people get engaged, I thought of a man about to surprise someone with a proposal.

ReplyDeleteThis is great! (I always wondered what kind of job "Two Months' Salary" entailed. Of course, I guess it depends on the size of the diamond.) I like the narrative, colors, typography, and, of course, the style. Excellent!
